In 2019, we proudly presented our first theatrical musical drama "The Ramayana" to the people of the Netherlands. "The Ramayana" was attended by over 500 people representing several nationalities and got immense appreciation from the Embassy of India and our esteemed audience.
We were also encouraged and supported by Gementee Amstelveen. The team had more than 100 people as performers and crew members including kids and adults. The show had professionally trained classical dancers of different forms such as Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Odissi, and others. It was also an opportunity for many women to showcase their talent who were dance and acting enthusiasts. This amalgamation of various local performers left audiences mesmerized and the presence of beautiful kids in the show created an endearing atmosphere...

De Rangmanch has organized a plethora of events as well to raise awareness of Indian culture in our society. We organized an Indian cultural program for Burrtkammer KKP where we showcased different Indian classical dance forms, dance workshop, cuisines, and Mehndi stall to give people a sense of contrasts that exists in multicultural India. We established "Women of De Rangmanch" which is a female fraternity where women come together for multiple initiatives. Last year, when it was not possible to organize a show for a live audience, we decided to venture into the space of short films and videos. Our short film on "Karwachauth" was an effort to showcase the evolution of society preserving the traditional values still intact. In addition, we try to do our bit for the community in general. De Rangmanch was able to raise close to 1200 euros for Voedselbank Amstelveen in a very short period to help the most vulnerable sections of society.

We have seen very eventful times since our inception. We look back at our challenging journey with a lot of humility and responsibility. We strive to work harder and get better than before every day. We will continue to provide a platform to our local talent and organize events such as workshops for yoga, meditation, breathing techniques, bhajans, classical songs, traditional dance, and celebrate festivals together with the community. We will come up with our flagship live audience shows as well as get into the educational space through Vedic studies. Our recognition as Cultural Institution by Vedic Wellness University, Florida, USA is a major step in this direction.

Who We Are

Neha Singh is the Founder and Director at De Rangmanch. She is from Lucknow, India, and moved to the Netherlands in 2010. She lives in Amstelveen with her husband and 2 beautiful kids and works as a software professional Neha is proud of her roots and is passionate about connecting cultures through visual arts. Post-birth of her second child, Neha realized that her kids are missing connection to their Indian roots which is such an integral and wonderful aspect of childhood. Neha further delved into Vedic studies, spirituality and is a certified life coach. She has completed certification from Harvard University in the "Hinduism through Scriptures" course. In the words of Neha: "We have so many hidden gems within our culture that it will take many lives to find and experience all of them. But one should take one step at a time and enjoy this process of discovery. Our origin is a fountain of eternal and profound wisdom which assimilates all the knowledge that is needed for our real happiness.
